We were thrilled to meet new friends and reunite with familiar faces at WomenHack, AWS Dev Day 2023, and the Open Source HK Beer Meetup on April 26, April 27, and May 17 respectively. Open Source HK Meeting #73 – MySQL: Exploring the MySQL 8.0 features
Many people have been using MySQL 5.6/5.7, and even today, MySQL 8.0 remains a popular choice. However, there are numerous features that users may not be aware of or may not be utilizing to their full potential. Join us for this informative session as we delve into the exploration of new features such as JSON document and GIS, and compare Component Architecture with Plugins in previous versions. We'll also discuss various backup and recovery options, including the traditional mysqldump and the latest MySQL Shell with dump/load utilities. Furthermore, we'll explore maintenance features such as ONLINE DDL/INSTANT add column, CPU Resource Group, and Connection Memory control, among others. We invite you to join us and share your experiences.
