Hi folks,
Welcome Year of Pig! For most of our friends who are used to the Chinese New Year tradition I hope you have experienced and enjoyed a great Chinese New Year holiday with family and friends.
It’s amazing to welcome our 7th year of the Hong Kong Open Source Conference. 2019 Hong Kong Open Source Conference is coming in this June. This year, COSCUP of Taiwan will also join HKOSCon 2019 as a community track partner. Our theme is: 凝聚社群 衝出香港 (Bring us together and Go beyond!)
WE, OSHK and participating communities and HKOSCon, are inviting you to submit proposals to the HKOSCon 2019. You may propose a talk (regular 30mins /short 10-15mins ), a workshop, a development sprint or other activities to Open Source HK (aka main track) or other community tracks. Community track hosts will carry a vetting process for their track.
Looking back, everyone in the communities is the catalyst of this journey, the collective wisdom and expertise across this decentralized networks embracing the Open Source innovation to a new page. Looking forward to hearing from you and please note the following timeline.
CFP Submission Deadline (Extended!): 4 March 2019
Vetting Result Notification: before/on 18 March 2019
Tentative Program Publish Date: 25 March 2019
Tentative Conference Date: 14-15 June 2019 (Fri-Sat)
Remarks: More CFP session slots are available on Saturday rather than Friday.
